Labs and Injections

Prolotherapy:

  • Prolotherapy is an injection technique which helps to support the healing of ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. To learn more about this therapy take a look at my blog post which gets into more detail about how it works.

Labs:

  • Naturopathic doctors use a variety of testing methods to help patients. Some of the more commonly used one include:

  • Life labs:

    • CBC with differential

    • Thyroid testing (TSH, T3, T4, antibodies)

    • Cholesterol

    • Liver and kidney function tests

    • Markers of inflammation (CRP, ESR)

    • Hormones (Estrogen, testosterone)

  • Alternative testing:

    • Food sensitivity testing (Blood test)

    • SIBO breath test

    • Female and male hormone testing (Saliva or dried urine)

    • Cortisol testing (Saliva)

Vitamin/Nutrient IVs:

  • IV therapy allow vitamins and minerals to be infused directly into the blood stream without worrying if the body is absorbing them or not.

  • Alternatively vitamin B12 injections can be given on their own for a quick and easy boost in energy
